Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish, which is the other blog that I participate in! Each week a topic is chosen for one of the bloggers to post a top ten list about. This weeks topic is, Top Ten Books Of 2010!!! So, head on over to The Broke and the Bookish to fill out the linky, read Jen's top ten and every one elses as well!!

TOP TEN BOOKS OF 2010!!

These books are NOT in the order that I liked them the most, they're just in the order that I thought of them!!! Also, you can click on the title of each book to read my review!!

1.) Recovering Charles by Jason F. Wright -- An absolutely amazing book! It's a tear jerker and will leave you feeling connected to the characters for days after finishing it!

2.) Take Four by Karen Kingsbury -- I think this is probably by far my favorite book shes ever written. It's apart of a series, the Above the Line series, and it's FANTASTIC!! If you've read the Baxter family series, but have not yet read this series, you must!

3.) The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf -- This book is kind of a different version of Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, however, I didn't make this comparison until just now! Basically, if you've read Speak, and you loved it, I think you'll like this book too! The events are a little bit different, but basically, something happens that causes a girl to stop speaking.

4.) The Hunger Games Series by Susanne Collins -- So, I tried to avoid putting series down. I really did. But I just couldn't pick ONE of the three!!! While this wasn't THE best series I've ever read, it definitely makes the cut for Top Ten Books of 2010!

5.) The Secret by Rhonda Byrne -- I wasn't going to put this on here. But you know why I did? Because this book literally changed my life. At the beginning of 2010, I was THE most negative person you could ever meet. Every thought, comment, idea that came out of my mouth was negative. My old 8th grade English teacher suggested that I read this book, and when I did, I decided to give it a try -- the secret to life. And it WORKED! My entire life CHANGED! I highly suggest this book to ANYONE!

6.) The Wednesday Letters by Jason F. Wright -- There is no way I could make this list without putting this one on here. I've had so many books make me cry, but not as hard as this one did. Not only  did a finish this in a matter of hours, but I bawled through out the entire book.. in a good, and bad way! All I have to say is, I hope I find this kind of love some day!

7.) Night Road by Kristin Hannah -- First, I want to add that I read this as an ARC book, and it isn't released until March 2011! But, this book was AMAZING! Kristin took an event that can actually happen in the real world, and made this book feel so real, that you wonder if it really happened to hear, or someone she knows. You know how some books have events in them that you're like, "Really? This is so unlikely to happen!" but not her book! It's a must read!

8.) House Rules by Jodi Picoult -- Jodi is one of my all time favorite authors. And while this book was VERY, VERY, VERY good, and I'd recommend it as a must read, this wasn't one of my favorites by her. But it definitely deserves to be on this list!

9.) IraqiGurl by Hadiya-- This book gives you the insight, or the "other side" look of what is/was/has been going on in Iraq during the war. It's a real blog put into a book explaining what has been seen by her eyes. In the book, it also lists her REAL blog address, so you can follow it!

10.) Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks -- Nicholas is also another favorite author of mine. And I'm sure most of you have read him. This book is way different than most of his other books have been. It's still a love story type book, but it's still different! I think this is my favorite book by him thus far!

So, that is my Top Ten Books of 2010! What are yours? Did you have any of my books on your list? Or have you at least read any of these books? I would love your feedback! Also, don't forget that you can click on the titles of each book to read my review!!!

SIDE NOTE: The ones without links are books that I read before making this blog!

I loved The Hunger Games but I have just read the first in the series. I am really bad when it comes to books in series ......

What I love about book lists is getting good ideas for new books. What I hate about book lists is getting ideas for more books to go onto the piles. :)

Now on my pile: Wednesday Letters. Thanks.

Yes Night Road was terrific...I have House Rules on my TBR pile -- sometimes I really like her books, and others I find just okay. Glad to see you think this one is a winner.

Hope you have a wonderful New Year's weekend.

TheBookGirl.. I love Jodi Picoult's books. I don't think I've ever been disappointed, and I look forward to her books coming out in March of every year! But I don't think House Rules is a top favorite out of ALL of her books, but it's def worth the top ten list of 2010!

And I too loved Night Road! I gave it to my Mom to read next!
